Parametering. For a given form, the quality of the handwriting recognition process increases when:

• each of the fields is associated with a relevant lexicon (e.g.: the Vidal drug dictionary for an area reserved for entering medical prescriptions);
• the set of characters - that may be used in each field - and their entry format are defined beforehand (e.g.: date, telephone number, electronic address, etc.).

In this perspective, FMS analyzes your forms and adapts the recognition engine parametering process to the usage context.

If necessary, FMS can compile lexical resources specific to your specialized area of business/industry and, in collaboration with a team of handwriting recognition specialists, develop syntax/semantic vertification systems to achieve a very high level of performance.

Validation. To ensure that conversion process results in digital data that match the source data exactly, human intervention is still necessary, especially for alphanumeric-type form fields.
